Lingen
Lingen is the name of a town located in the southern part of the Emsland district, Lower Saxony, Germany. It borders Nordrhein-Westfalen to the south and the Netherlands to the west. Lingen was first mentioned in medieval times (around 900 A.D.). The population is 56,382 (March 2005).
More recently Lingen is well known for its nuclear industry (Power plants and nuclear fuels), but also for its beautiful nature alongside the river Ems.
