Liminka

Liminka (Limingo in Swedish) is a municipality in the province of Oulu, in Finland. Liminka is located about 25 kilometres south of Oulu. The population of Liminka is 6,831 (2004-08–31) and the municipilaty covers an area of 643.59 km² (excluding sea areas) of which 4.78 km² is inland water (2004-01–01). The population density is 10.1 inhabitants per km² (2004-01–01). Municipilaty of Liminka has been founded in 1477.

The Bay of Liminka (Liminganlahti in Finnish) is a famous bird paradise.
