Lilly Kane

Lilly Kane is a character played by Amanda Seyfried on the television program Veronica Mars, airing on the UPN network in the United States.

Lilly was the daughter of Jake Kane (played by Kyle Secor), the billionaire CEO of a software company. She was murdered roughly eleven months prior to the time of the show's first episode. Abel Koontz, a disgruntled employee fired from Jake's firm, confessed to the crime and is awaiting execution.

Lilly is seen on the show through a series of flashbacks, which portray her as a wild, stylish, and bubbly teenage girl. Prior to her death, in the series, she was the best friend of Veronica (Kristen Bell), who was dating Lilly's brother, Duncan Kane (Teddy Dunn). She also dated Duncan's best friend, Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring).

Lilly often is compared to the role of Laura Palmer in Twin Peaks, who also was deceased and appeared in Twin Peaks through various flashbacks as the plot unfolded.
