Lena Ek

Lena Ek (born 16 January 1958 in Mönsterås, Smalandia) is a Swedish politician and Member of the European Parliament. She is a member of the Centre Party, a member of the bureau of the Union for a Europe of Nations, and sits on the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy.

She is also a substitute for the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality and the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, and a member of the delegation to the ACPEU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.

  • Member of the Swedish Parliament (1998–2004)
  • Centre Party's spokesman on economic policy (1998–2004)
