Le Canal Nouvelles
Le Canal Nouvelles (LCN) is a private French language Quebec 24-hour television news network owned by Quebecor Média, and broadcasting from its headquarters in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Its format is to broadcast four 15-minute news segments per hour with headlines scrolling at the bottom of the screen.
Quebecor also owns the TVA network. Many news reports shown on TVA are also shown on LCN. LCN is also simulcast for several hours overnight on TVA, with the TVA logo superimposed over the LCN logo.
LCN was launched in 1997.
LCN should not be typographically confused with the European network LCI "La Chaine d'Information" that originates in Paris, France.
