Lazuli
Lazuli is the "working name" for Greenville, South Carolina based recording artist, Dean Smith. His musical project is an experiment all in its own, with no set genre, no set band members, and no set band name. He also refuses to play any live shows. This complete and utter disregard for the music industry as a business, and means of identity tends to further emphasize the experimental values of the project, and Dean, himself. He performs his own brand of often eclectic music for therapeutic reasons, as opposed to gain monetary clout, or even a fanbase. He has released music under the monikers, Mumm'Ra, (based on the villian of the same name on the television cartoon series, Thundercats), Short Circuit Run, Marsupiol, a play on the childhood nickname "Possum", among others.
