Larabanga
Larabanga is a small village at the gates of Mole National Park in Ghana and accessible from Tamale, Ghana by bus. It has a picturesque whitewashed mosque in the Sahel style and made from mud and poles. Dating back to 1421 from the height of the trans-Saharan trade it is reputed to be Ghana's oldest mosque. The village also has a 'mystic stone' and copy of the Quran almost as old as the mosque.
