Lar's Homestead

Lars Homestead was the fictional compound located on Tatooine in the Star Wars movies, right outside of Anchorhead and near Mos Eisley. It was home to a moisture farm, typical of the Tatooine settlements. The property was full of moisture vaporators, with most of the living area located below ground to provide relief from the terrible desert heat. Noteable parts of the compound include the garage, which housed the Lars family landspeeder and Luke Skywalker's T-16 skyhopper. Cliegg Lars was the original owner, and with his wife Shmi conceived the last owner, Owen Lars, who with his wife Beru used it to house Luke Skywalker while he was still young. The Lars Homestead was eventually torched by Imperial stormtroopers looking for the missing droids R2-D2 and C-3PO. The homestead has been visited by many of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe, including Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala.
