Lamed Hey
Lamed Hey Following the partition of Palestine, a group of 35 (lamed hey in Hebrew) men attempted to resupply the Jewish Gush Etzion kibbutzes on January 16, 1948 on foot, after a number of convoys had been attacked. All 35 were killed outside the Arab village of Surif.
