Lajes (Praia da Vitória)
Lajes is a parish in the district of Praia da Vitória in the Azores. The population in 2001 is 3,753, its density is336.6 /km² and the area is 11.15 km²/1,115 ha. It is the second largest and the most populated parish in the district of Praia da Vitória. It is located in the northeastern part of Terceira. The main industry are business and agriculture. It is also the most densest parish in Praia da Vitória. The Atlantic is to the northeast and the mountains to the southwest.
