LED printer

LED printers are identical in principle to laser printers except for the light source used. LEDs are more efficient mechanically than normal laser printers, since there are fewer moving parts. Depending on design, LED printers can have faster rates of print than some laser based designs, and are generally cheaper to manufacture. There are also concerns about the LEDs experiencing early burnout due to the repeated on/off switching of the numerous LEDs as a print is made.
