L'Aigle

There is also, in Switzerland, a commune called Aigle, in the canton of Vaud, located in the district of Aigle.

L'Aigle is a commune of the Orne départment, in France.

This commune used to be known as Laigle. According to Orderic Vitalis, the nest of an eagle (aigle in French) was discovered during the construction of the castle.

The Risle river flows through the commune.
