Kong
Kong is a town in north eastern Côte d'Ivoire, lying west of the Comoë National Park.
Founded around the twelfth century, it was largely destroyed in the nineteenth century during a battle between Samory Touré and the French, the seventeenth century Kong Friday Mosque surviving. Kong was largely rebuilt in a traditional Sahelian architectural style and features a Qur'anic school.
