Kitakyushu Airport

Kitakyushu Airport is a very small airport in Kokura Minami-ku, Kitakyushu, Japan. There are four flights to and from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) every day.

This airport is soon to be replaced by a new offshore airport built on a man-made island in Suo nada, the most westerly part of the Seto Inland Sea.

The name of the new airport to open at the end of 2005 or at the beginning of 2006 will be the New Kitakyushu Airport (Shin Kitakyushu Kuko, 新北九州空港).
