Kisakata, Akita

Kisakata (象潟町; -machi) is a town located in Yuri District, Akita, Japan.

As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 12,836 and a density of 103.50 persons per km². The total area is 124.02 km². For hikers and climbers Kisakata is the jumping-off point for trips to Mt. Chokai.
