Killara

Killara is a suburb of Sydney, Australia. It is part of the Ku-ring-gai Council Local Government Area. The name comes from an Aboriginal word meaning "permanent", and was given by James George Edwards. There is a railway station on the North Shore Line near the Pacific Highway in Culworth Ave. Killara is considered one of the wealthier suburbs of Sydney, and is surrounded by bush on its eastern border.
