Kiev Metro
The Kiev Metro is the metro (subway) system that provides Kiev with mass-transit services. It was the first metro in Ukraine and the third one in the USSR.
Plan of the Kiev Metro
As of 2004, the three Kiev metro lines total 54.8 km in length and comprise 43 stations. The system is served by 580 cars and is open daily from 6:00 till 0:00.
History
The first line, 5.2 km long and comprising 5 stations, was opened on 6 November 1960. The second one joined it on 17 December 1976, and the third one on 31 December 1989.

There are 3 lines:
- Svyatoshin – Brovary (Святошинсько – Броварська)
- Kureniwka – Cherwonoarmiyska (Куренівсько – Червоноармійська)
- Syrets – Pechersk (Сирецько – Печерська)
