Kettle Principle

It's the principle in which mathematicians are supposed to think. It's often define by the joke that an engineer and a mathematician are asked to boil some water in a kettle, so they both do so. Then they are asked again, and obiediantly the engineer does so, but the mathematician declare's "We've already solved this problem!"
