Kathy Reichs
Kathy Reichs (or Kathleen J. Reichs) is a forensic scientist and writer of mystery novels, who works in Canada and the United States. Her own professional lifestyle is closely mirrored by that of her heroine, Temperance Brennan.
Biographical information
Kathy Reichs, like her fictional creation, Temperance Brennan, is forensic anthropologist for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, State of North Carolina, and for the Laboratoire de Sciences Judiciaires et de Médecine Légale for the province of Quebec. She is one of only fifty forensic anthropologists certified by the American Board of Forensic Anthropology. Reichs is a professor of anthropology at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. A native of Chicago, she received her Ph.D. at Northwestern.
Reichs speaks fluent french.
