Katherine Tudor

Katherine Tudor (2 February 1503) was the youngest daughter and last child of King Henry VII of England and Elizabeth of York. She was born and died on the same day.

Elizabeth of York never recovered from the birth, her eighth pregnancy. Still in grief by the unexpected death of her oldest son, Arthur, Prince of Wales shortly before she became pregnant with Katherine, and griefing also for Katherine, Elizabeth died of an post-pregnancy infection on the 11 February 1503, her thirty-seventh birthday.

Her older siblings included Arthur, Prince of Wales, Margaret Tudor, Henry VIII of England, Elizabeth Tudor, Mary Tudor, Queen consort of France and Edmund Tudor, Duke of Somerset.
