Kakamigahara, Gifu

Kakamigahara (各務原市; -shi) is a city located in Gifu, Japan.

As of November 1, 2004, the city has an estimated population of 148,393 and the density of 1,691 persons per km². The total area is 87.77 km².

The city was founded on April 1, 1963.

Mergers

On November 1, 2004 the former town of Kawashima merged into the city.
