Kahakai
In Unix computing, Kahakai was supposed to be a language agnostic scriptable window manager for X11, but development ceased before it achieved this goal. Kahakai was based on Waimea, and it did release a working manager that could be scripted with Python. A couple Kahakai developers went on to create Aegis, a project with more or less the same goals as Kahakai but based on Aewm++. The developers for Aegis hang out on #aegis at irc.freenode.net .
