Kagerou (webcomic)

Kagerou is a full color web comic by Luka Delaney.

In this story, our protagonist Kano finds himself in a strange and fantastical place known as Gray World. As one would expect in such a situation, he is revealed to be a Chosen Hero charged with an Epic Quest to rescue a captured princess. But as it turns out, Kano has more than one person living in his head — and at least one of these is a dangerous psycopath.

Irregular update schedule. The earlier pages are currently being revamped, for possible print.

Characters

  • Kano: A sullen, jaded, emotionally disturbed, but nevertheless decent young man (who happens to look a lot like a girl). He can be identified by his green eyes.
  • Red: He once had a life of his own, as a serial murderer and rapist, before he got killed and somehow ended up living in Kano's head. He is lewd, foul-mouthed, violent, and self-centered; but he is often needed to do the things which Kano cannot (such as protect himself). Red can be distinguished from Kano by his red eyes.
  • Kid: Another one of Kano's persona's. Childlike, friendly, and hyperactive, with a weakness for stuffed animals and sugar. He can be distinguished from Kano by his blue eyes.
  • Dark: Kid's "brother"; yet another mysterious persona living in Kano's head.
  • Tonbo: A Princess, groomed her entire life to be the mortal host to a goddess.
  • Fuuka: Part of Tonbo's soul, who escaped when Tonbo was captured, and ends up making contact with Kano.
  • Cho: A hot-tempered, relatively young "Old One" (a long-lived race of people who become giant trees later in life). She allies herself with Kano early on, and seems to have a crush on him. Though she despises Red, she's generally forced to acknowledge his usefulness.
