Kablam!
KaBlam! is the title of an animated series that ran on the Nickelodeon TV channel from 1996 to 2000. It featured a collection of short films done in many wildly different styles of animation and bridged by the characters of Henry and June, who introduced the shorts and had their own wacky high-jinks. It still airs on Australia's Nickelodeon affiliate.

Regular KaBlam! shorts
- Henry and June – Two badly-drawn comic-book characters, Henry and June turn the pages of a comic book to reveal the next cartoon, and have hilarious escapades along the way.
- Sniz and Fondue – a pair of moles who often get on each other's nerves but are ultimately united as brothers. It was replaced with The Offbeats within a few episodes.
- Action League Now! – filmed in "Chuckimation" (the characters/props are moved by unseen hands, or thrown from off camera, interspersed with occasional stop animation), a set of superheroes (played by custom-made action figures) fights crime in suburbia despite being total idiots. The four superheroes are Thunder Girl, who has the ability to fly; Meltman, who has the ability to melt; Stinky Diver, who has the ability to dive (his name derives from the fact that most of his diving takes place in toilets); and The Flesh, described in the ALN! introduction as "super-strong and super-naked". Considered to be the best KaBlam! short, it briefly became a spin-off series in 2003.
- Prometheus and Bob – a claymated segment featuring the mission logs of Prometheus, an alien (in the classic tall, lanky gray style) who comes to Earth to try to teach the local caveman all manner of things, from the use of fire to the act of ice skating. The result is usually a failure.
- Life with Loopy – the life of twelve-year-old Larry and his strange life with his imaginative but adventurous younger sister Loopy. The characters were CGI Animated but had heads in traditional 2-D.
Minor KaBlam! shorts
- The Offbeats – a group of unpopular friends dealing with problems with many different characters including the popular clique, deamed appropriately "The Populars."
- Lava, AKA Surpising Shorts – At times, Kablam! airs some never-seen-again shorts, such as "Stewy the Dogboy" (which became Disney's "Teacher's Pet"), among several others.
- Angela Anaconda – Angela Anaconda is a cutout-photo cartoon from Canada that aired on the Fox Family Channel (now called ABC Family) in the US. This series is about a girl named Angela who, along with her 2 friends, are social outcasts. They find themselves unpopular school, and always seem to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Nanette, the fake-French girl who everyone loves and wants to be, is always mocking Angela. During each episode, a poem-like story is narrated by Angela. In this section of the show, she winds up getting her revenge on the antagonist of that particular episode.
- JetCat – A segment about a cat with a jet pack who saves his city. The only short that takes place outside of the comic book.
- Race Rabbit – A live-action show about a superhero rabbit. Animal actors are used for this segment.
Regular KaBlam! Characters
Henry & June Segments
Henry – Henry is the energetic male host of Kablam! He tends to be a bit of an idiot, and appears to believe that he looks good shirtless. He is way more laid back than June, and seems to be disaster-prone, especially around Mr. Big Foot. But other than that, he and June match like peanut butter and jelly.
June – June is the show's much more practical co-host. With her sarcastic personality and enthusiasm, June is excellent at her job! However, she has a tendency to find Henry's dilemmas quite humorous. She never gets hurt.
Mr. Big Foot – Mr. Foot is an giant ignorant ape with a heart for Henry as small as his brain. His hobbies include sleeping, hurting Henry and unexpectedly stealing the spotlight. Under the rage (and blubber), however, he isn't too bad of a person. He never hurts June, always Henry.
Director Stockdale – The evil director of the show. He'll do anything to get Kablam! good ratings – including fire someone or get Henry into lots of physical "accidents!"
Action League Now! Segments
The Flesh – The Flesh is a naked man who tends to be very strong. He is also know as the "Nude Dude." The Flesh wished that one day he would become a Super Hero, and he did. He usually gets in the way a lot when The Action League are trying to save the day. He still fits perfectly with this crew. His main quote is, "Ouchies."
Thunder Girl – Thunder Girl is another member of The Action League. She has the power to fly and use electrical attacks. Thunder Girl is usually seen flying around the City trying to find The Mayor. She uses her electrical powers very often. Meltman has a crush on Thunder Girl and usually says it right to her and she whacks him in the face.
Stinky Diver – Stinky Diver is the English Super Hero, who is always in his toilet. He uses a spear to attack his foes. He loves his money a whole lot and will not let anything happen to it. He is usually found next to Meltman, one of his better friends who he can trust.
Barry "Meltman" Meltfarb – Meltman has the power to melt, and he happens to be the most pathetic member of the Action League. Melty hangs out with everyone in the gang especially his love, Thunder Girl. Thunder Girl hates Meltman but he doesn't seem to care. Meltman is very unhelpful; he has helped out only once in one episode.
Justice – Justice is The Chief's loyal canine and probably the smartest one in the Action League! Justice is very nice to everyone in the Action League. He is probably the nicest, bravest and happiest member of the Action League. Justice appears in episodes very often and you will recognize him right away, too.
The Chief – The Chief hired the Action League in the first place. He is very commanding and will not let evil win. The Chief is in every episode of Action League Now! and he even is the main character in the episode, Fatter. Without The Chief the Action League would be nothing. Even though they already are nothing. His main quote is, "Blast it!"
Bill the Lab Guy – Bill the Lab Guy tries to help The Action League by testing experiements and checking if the Action League has a disease. His main quote is, "I see no connection." Bill the Lab Guy tends to become very annoying to The Action League and viewers. Don't let him upset you because in one episode his observations are correct.
The Mayor – The Mayor is the evil villain in Action League Now! He may be the mayor of a town but he wants to take over the world! The Mayor always tries to get the Action League in danger, like getting their heads chopped off in a fan. Ouch! The Mayor is probably the smartest in the whole show, and he tends to be evil.
Quarky the Lab Girl – Bill the Lab Guy's daughter, who is taller than he is. She is as much an idiot as Bill.
Hodge Podge – The former accountant of the Action League. Due to a blender accident (and an operation from Bill the Lab Guy), he is now a mutated giant made of parts from other toys.
Spotzilla – The Mayor's dog. Unlike Justice, Spotzilla is an actual dog not made of plastic. He is often sent by the Mayor to wreak havoc...and reek, period. No catch phrase.
The Narrarator – He's in every episode and anounces what's going on before and after commercial breaks. He shows up only sometimes, but enough to deserve a bio in this section.
Life With Loopy Segments
Loopy Cooper – Loopy is an imaginative, crazy little girl with a knack for discovering surreal things such as the world under your sofa. While she is often discouraged by Larry whenever she goes out to adventure, she doesn't let that get her down.
Larry Cooper – Larry is Loopy's intelligent brother and in some ways the main character. Much like Lassie, Larry knows every detail of Loopy's adventures although he is almost never there.
Those Two Paper-Bag Guys – These two almost always show up on Life With Loopy at one point or another, each time as different people; and "helping" (if you could even call it that) Loopy out with her latest escapade. If Loopy recognizes them from episode to episode, she doesn't show it.
Other People – Life With Loopy occasionally has various live-action interlopers.
Sniz & Fondue Segments
Sniz – Sniz is a crazy little mole who gets himself into heaps of trouble on a daily basis! Luckily, Fondue has ways to bail Sniz (and himself) out of ordeal.
Fondue – Fondue is a frustrated, but intelligent teenage mole who is also Sniz's brother. Like Sniz, Fondue has strange dialogue. Unlike Sniz, Fondue wears a sacred hat.
Prometheus & Bob Segments
Prometheus – This smart, skinny purple alien is sworn to educate the stupid caveman Bob. Prometheus is oftenly being injured due to Bob's -1 IQ.
Bob – Bob is a babbling caveman who can barely sleep by himself, that's how stupid he is.
Monkey – Monkey is a small chimpanzee with many different roles. Sometimes helping Prometheus, other times making his life miserable, you just can't predict what that crazy ape will do next.
Minor KaBlam! Characters
The Offbeats Segments
Betty Anne Bongo – Betty Anne Bongo is the un-official leader of The Offbeats. She's always helping Tommy, August and Repunzil out of a jam. She's a good person, even if her bongo playing isn't all that great!
Tommy – Tommy loves his coat and he loves being alone. In fact, he's such an outsider he never goes indoors. Normally he's quiet, but he can't handle his emotions very well, so sometimes he just starts yelling. Tommy's outbursts startle everyone, especially himself.
Repunzil – Repunzil is the youngest and most excitable member of The Offbeats. She loves everyone and everything, even if they run away (like September for example). Repunzil's long hair makes it very difficult for her to wear a hat.
August – August is the one Offbeat that desperately wants to be liked by The Populars. But not one of his cool inventions, like the Suave-O-Matic 5000 or the Helicart, impress anyone.
September – August's dog. He runs away often and gets paid to like August, but, at very, very, very, very rare times, he seems to enjoy the Offbeats anyway.
Grubby Groo – Grubby Groo is The Offbeats' groovy old buddy. He's probably the only adult in the world who knows that The Populars are really just a bunch of mean kids.
Tina – Tina is the leader of the Populars, who rules them with an iron fist. If any of the Offbeats start thinking that they're cool, Tina's always around to set them straight.
The Rest of the Populars – The Populars, the snotty group that always travel in a clump, are led with an iron fist by super-popular Tina.
Angela Anaconda Segments
Angela Anaconda – If anyone had told Angela that she was going to have her own TV show, she wouldn't have believed it. This imaginative young girl may look average on the surface, but she is in fact quite special and unique. Angela tries very hard to be good by obeying her elders and doing her homework, but sometimes her active mind can get the best of her. In her imagination, Angela is usually thinking up ways to get back at the super mean Nanette Manoir.
Gina Lash – Gina Lash is Angela's best friend and the smartest kid in her class. She always beats Nanette at spelling and math, which drives Nanette NUTS. Gina loves to eat anything, even cherry-flavored lip balm and the Cinnamon Swirls at Mapperson's Bakery.
Johnny Abatti – Angela also likes to hang out with her friend Johnny Abatti. Johnny and Angela can usually be found at Johnny's grandmother's pizza parlor, so he's pretty perfect – except he's a boy.
Nanette Manoir – Nanette has perfect golden locks and is never seen in a dress that is wrinkled or stained. And of course, Nanette thinks she is way better than everyone else just because she lives in a big fancy house with a built-in pool. Nanette can be very mean and very snotty, which drives Angela's overactive imagination wild! She also pretends to be French.
Gordy Rhinehart – Even though he's puny and Coach Rhinehart's son, Gordy is one of Angela's friends. He has to use an inhaler to help him breath. Gordy is almost as addicted to his inhaler as he is to Gina Lash.
Mrs. Brinks – Mrs. Brinks is Angela's teacher. It's not that Angela doesn't like Mrs. Brinks, it's just that her class pet is Nanette and, well, enough said.
JetCat Segments
JetCat – A cat with a jetpack whom flies around, saving his city.
Race Rabbit Segments
Race Rabbit – A superhero bunny.
