Jovan Zujovic

Jovan Žujović (Јован Жујовић) (1856 – 1936) a famous Anthropologist, known as a founder of geology science in Serbia. Except of geology and paleontology, he is known by his works in anthropology. In his book, "Stone age", published 1893, quoting mostly French scientists, he gave a rewiew of then modern knowledge in paleoanthropology, since the beginnings, to the end of neolit era. Later, between 1927, and 1929, in the book "Genesis of the Earth and our country (I – II)", he wrote about biological past of the Earth starting from the begining of the mankind. In this work is significant his great interest in the area of Balkan peninsula.
