Jonathan Evans

Jonathan Peter Evans (born 1950) is a British lawyer and politician. He is a Conservative Party Member of the European Parliament for Wales, and since 2001 has been the leader of the Conservative group of MEPs.

He was the Member of Parliament for Brecon and Radnor from 1992 to 1997, but lost his seat to Richard Livsey of the Liberal Democrats. He was a junior minister in the John Major government, serving as Under Secretary of State for Wales from 1996 to 1997.
