Johnson Controls, Inc. (NYSE: JCI) is an United States company specializing in automotive systems and nonresidential climate control systems based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was founded in 1885 by Warren S. Johnson, inventor of the electric room thermostat.
Though the company got its start through the development and implementation of its thermostat technologies, today it also controls a large stake in the automotive parts industry. It provides automotive batteries and all parts of the interior systems in cars and light trucks.
