John Viret Gooch

John Viret Gooch was the chief mechanical engineer of the London and South Western Railway from 1841 to 1850. He was the brother of Daniel Gooch and was previously engineer of the Manchester and Leeds Railway.

After leaving the LSWR in 1850, he went to the Eastern Counties Railway.
