John Howard (soldier)

John Howard was an English major who led the occupation of the Pegasus over the River Orne. The bridge was important because the American forces wanted to make a wall so the Germans couldnt push them out of the country again, so they had to control the bridges because otherwise the germans could just go over the bridges and push them out.
