Johan van der Keuken

Johan van der Keuken was an innovative Dutch documentary filmmaker and photographer active from 1955 until his death at the start of the 21st Century on January 7, 2001 from prostate cancer. Based out of Amsterdam, he travelled the world making films and taking pictures on many topics, mostly for the Dutch television station VPRO. His work was exceptional in nearly every regard and his premature death was a real loss for the art of documentary filmmaking.
