Joe Machine

Joe Machine (born Chatham 1973) artist, poet and writer. A founder member of the Stuckists art group (1999). Machine (an adopted name) comes from a Romany background on the Isle of Sheppey. His early life was marked by petty crime and spells in Dover Borstal (for young offenders). He draws heavily on life experiences of sex and violence in his paintings and writing.
