Joanna Cole

Joanna Cole is a US author of children’s books that teach science. She is most famous as the author of The Magic School Bus books. Cole loved science as a child, and had a teacher she says was a little like Ms. Frizzle. She has worked as an elementary school teacher, a librarian, and a children’s book editor.

She wrote and produced the BBC children's television programme Bod (1975) with Michael Cole. Together they also created another British children's programme Gran (1982).
