Joan Carroll

A successful child-star in movies between 1938 and '48. Born as Joan Felt in 1932 in New Jersey, U.S. Her most famous role was as Margaret O'Brien's sister in the musical Meet Me In St. Louis (1944). She appeared in her first film Walking Down Broadway when she was six. She had lead roles too and one in Bing Crosby's The Bells of St. Mary's. By 1948 she was sixteen and then made three films in Britain including her last film The Feminine Touch (1956).

She also worked on radio and the Broadway stage. More recently, from 1987, she has worked as a location manager on several films including Jaws (1987).
