Jo Ann Davis

Jo Ann S. Davis (b. June 29, 1950) is a politician from the state of Virginia, currently representing the state's 1st Congressional district (map) in the U.S. House.

Davis was born in Rowan County, North Carolina and she attended Hampton Roads Business College. Davis worked in real estate before she was elected to the Virginia general assembly as a Republican in 1996. She then ran for the United States Congress in 2000. After winning the primary with 35% of the vote, she won the general election easily. She had no competition in 2002 or 2004.
