Jiri Cerovsky

Jiri Cerovsky is Czech politician. Born 1955 in Semily in Bohemia, Czechoslovakia, graduated at Prague University with PhD in biology. In 1970s, he had reached excellent results in sports. He won all Czechoslovakia masterships between 1975-1983 and had represented Czechoslovakia in world championships. Later, he taught biology at Sport School in Jablonec. After fall of communism (1989) in Czechoslovakia, he became member of first voted city council and professor of Randa Grammar School in Jablonec. From 1996 he is mayor of town Jablonec and in 2004 to Regional council of Liberec Region. Jiri Cerovsky is member if conservative-liberal Civic Democratic Party (ODS).
