Jim Gannon

Jim Gannon is the current manager of the Irish football club Dundalk FC.

An ex-player of the club, in April 1989 Gannon was transferred from Dundalk to English team Sheffield United and after 12 months he moved to Stockport County where he had a distinguished career. His 479 club appearances puts him in third spot in Stockport’s all time appearance list and his 65 goals are 9th in their scoring records. He has received two distinctive honours from the club’s supporters—elected to the Stockport Hall of Fame and as Honorary Vice President of the Hatters Independent Supporters Club. On his return to Ireland he had a number of successful years with Shelbourne before his appointment as Dundalk manager in June 2004.
