Jim Edmonds

James Patrick "Jim" Edmonds (born June 27, 1970 in Fullerton, California) is a Major League Baseball center fielder and left-handed batter who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals.

The California Angels selected him in the 7th round of the 1988 draft. He has spent eleven seasons in the majors with the Angels (later known as the Anaheim Angels) and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Before long, Edmonds became well known for being an fearless and skilled player. He has hit over 30 home runs in four seasons, maintains a .293 career batting average, and has earned 798 career RBI. He also has been noticed for his fielding, earning seven Gold Glove Awards in both the National League and American League.
