Jim "Mattress Mac" McIngvale

Jim McIngvale, known to many Houstonians as "Mattress Mac", is the founder, owner, and operator of Gallery Furniture, a leading furniture retailer in the U.S. State of Texas. Jim McIngvale was iconized in Houston due to a large number of late night ads made by himself. These ads showed him waving stacks of bills and proclaiming "Gallery Furniture saves you money!". This saying has been modified throughout the years. In 2005, he was asked by former US President George H. W. Bush to be the Houston chair of the Bush-Clinton tsunami relief fund.
