Jessi Colter
Jessi Colter was born Mirriam Johnson circa 1943. Although best known as the wife of Waylon Jennings and the mother of Shooter Jennings, she is an American country music singer and composer in her own right.
After a brief marriage to Duane Eddy ended, she married Jennings in 1969. Songs she wrote and sang include "I'm Not Lisa," "Storms Never Last," and "What's Happened To Blue Eyes" (aka "I'm Looking For Blue Eyes"). She also sang duets with Jennings (including a cover of Elvis Presley's hit "Suspicious Minds") and accompanied him on concert tours. Since Jennings' death in 2002 she has toured with their son Shooter.
