Jeep Commander

The Jeep Commander is a large SUV introduced at the 2005 New York Auto Show as a 2006 model year production vehicle. It is a 7-passenger truck and is just 2 inches longer than the Jeep Grand Cherokee on which it is based. It has much more boxy styling, with an upright windshield and tailgate and squared-off sides. A stepped roof is taller for the second- and third-row seats but is disguised, as on the GMC Envoy XL, by a roof rack. It also features three moonroofs.

The Commander will offer a base V6 engine with two optional V8s including the new Hemi:
