Jaya Krishna Cuttaree

Dr. Jaya Krishna (Jayan) Cuttaree (born June 22 1941) has been the foreign minister of Mauritius since December 23 2003 and a member of the Mauritian parliament from Stanley since 1982. He is a descendant of Indian immigrants. He went to university in the United Kingdom and Sweden and worked in agriculture and natural resources jobs before entering politics. He was minister of trade and industry from September 2000 to December 2003.
