Jane de Valois

Jane of Valois (1464 – 4 February 1505) was born the daughter of king Louis XI of France and Charlotte of Savoy in 1464. She was deformed at birth, and sickly through her life, she developed an early devotion to Our Lady. She was married at nine for political reasons to Louis, Duke of Orleans. She prayed for her husband, who later became king Louis XII of France. Their marriage was annuled after he became king. Made Duchess of Berry, which is the province she ruled. She died at Bourges, France.
