J'attendrai

"J'Attendrai" was the French version of the old Italian song "Tornerai". This version of Dalida was the first disco song in Europe and made Dalida the first French disco star. It was like a second "Bambino" for her career, a new way, a new popularity, and a new Dalida. The song, realised in 1975 for the album J'Attendrai, was in single in 1976 and was at #1 in France. Dalida decided to make a disco album, Coup De Chapeau Au Passé, containing "J'Attendrai" again, but also the following hit, "Besame Mucho (Embrasse-moi)".
