Ivar Kleiven

Ivar Kleiven (1854–1934), a local historian and poet, has been called Gudbrandsdalens Snorri Sturlason. His writing often reflects the nationalistic mood of the time. His books include "I gamle dågå", "I heimegrendi", "Lom og Skjåk", "Lesja og Dovre", "Gausdal", "Ringebu", "Fronsbygdin", "Elvesøg" and "Bånboka".
