Iván Helguera

Iván Helguera Bujía (born March 28, 1975 in Santander) is a Spanish football (soccer) defender, who currently plays for Real Madrid of La Liga.

On the club level, Helguera has played for Manchego (1996), Albacete (1997), AS Roma (1997–98), Espanyol (1998–99), and Real Madrid (1999-). He won the Champions League twice with Real. For Spain, Helguera has been capped over 30 times (as of 2005). He played for his country at Euro 2000, the 2002 World Cup, and Euro 2004.
