"It Takes Two" was a 1966 hit song for Marvin Gaye and Kim Weston. The song discussed how lovers remind those that "it takes two" to complete the puzzle of love. It was another big hit written by the Holland-Dozier-Holland team. It became Gaye's biggest song as a duet artist until his seminal duets with Tammi Terrell around the same time. The song peaked at #14 on the Billboard Pop charts and #4 on Billboard's Soul Singles chart.
