Notes

  • Although there are currently no spur routes off of I-27, there is a beltway around Lubbock and an accompanying spur highway from the southwest side. There are arguments that the beltway (currently signed as TX Secondary Route 289) should be renamed I-227 and the spur highway (currently signed as TX Secondary Route 327) I-327.

Fictional References

  • In the video game Need For Speed: Underground 2, I-27 is the name given to the fictional city of Bayview's freeway system.

Musical references

  • There is a punk band from Oklahoma calling themselves Interstate 27.
