Institut d'études politiques de Rennes
The Rennes IEP (Institut d'Etudes Politiques) was founded in 1991, and is a part of the Science-Po group of higher education schools along with those in Aix-en-Provence, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Paris, Strasbourg and Toulouse.
For entry into this school, only 10% of applicants who applied for membership were allocated places to study. All students at this IEP are obliged to learn at least one foreign language, and must spend a study year abraod in their chosen nation(s) in order to achieve progress in their second tongue.
In 2005, Rennes hosted the annual Science-Po CRIT, in which students from all the IEPs in the country flock together for a 3-day long inter-university sports competition, which IEP Paris won.
