Ilyushin Il-78

The Ilyushin Il-78 (NATO reporting name Midas) is a four-engined inflight refuelling tanker based on the Il-76.

Three aircraft may refuel in flight simultaneously from one Il-78.

All Russian Air force Il-78s are now joined into the special 203 "Orlovski" regiment of aerial tankers.

6 Il-78s were ordered by India for 2003.
