ING Cup

The ING Cup is the current name of the domestic List A cricket (One-day/limited overs cricket) competition in Australia. Due to the immense success of the Australian ODI team the ING Cup is widely regarded as the world's best one day domestic competition.

Since it's commencement in 1969–70 the competition has had a number of sponsors, each one exercising their naming rights. These have been:

  • Vehicle & General Australasian Knock-out Competition – from 1969/70 to 1970/71
  • Coca-Cola Australasian Knock-out Competition – from 1971/92 to 1972/73
  • Gillette Cup – from 1973/74 to 1978/79
  • McDonald's Cup – from 1979/80 to 1987/88
  • FAI Cup – from 1988/89 to 1991/92
  • Mercantile Mutual Cup – from 1992/93 to 2000/01
  • ING Cup – from 2001/02 to present
